It's a cover-up as RTE's Evanne tones down the glam

RTE news presenter Evanne Ni Chuilinn is still causing a stir among male viewers, despite toning down her new glamorous look.

The stylish mum-to-be first attracted praise on Sunday night when she swapped her usual demure look for a plunging turquoise satin top and black jacket.

While her outfit on yesterday's RTE News on Two was less revealing, it garnered just as much attention from a host of male admirers. Today FM broadcaster Ray D'Arcy was complimentary about the Kilkenny journalist's assets.

He told his listeners, "I was reading the Sunday papers and the next thing I look up to see Evanne Ni Chuilinn's cleavage on the Nine O'Clock News. "Did you read somewhere that she's pregnant. That's what happens -- bigger boobs, bigger cleavage. She's blooming."

While many women feel self-conscious during their pregnancy, according to pals, Evanne has blossomed. A source close to the presenter said that she "loved the idea of being a mum" and "revelled in these months before the birth".

"Evanne is just thrilled with her pregnancy, she is very happy with her partner Brian who has no links to the media or the GAA," the source said.

Evanne, who plays senior camogie for Portobello Camogie Club, and basketball with Springfield, Tallaght, is now more than five months pregnant.
