Investigation: Probe gets access to encrypted Anglo files
INVESTIGATORS probing events at Anglo Irish Bank have been able to get through a set of encrypted passwords.
It is believed assistance from former and ex-Anglo staff helped investigators to access all the information they needed.
It is understood IT specialists, who form part of the investigation team, also worked to solve the problem, which was first highlighted in court proceedings a few weeks ago.
The probe into Anglo is in its final phase and a file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions before year-end.
The chief area of investigation is deposits moved between Anglo and Irish Life & Permanent in September 2008.
