I'm happy for Dad and his new love, says Tracy
RTE presenter Tracy Piggott has given her famous dad Lester the seal of approval in his new life abroad with a mistress 22 years his junior.
The 77-year-old champion jockey left Susan, his wife of 52 years, to move abroad with Lady Barbara FitzGerald (55) in to a rented house on the outskirts of Geneva.
According to friends, Lester and Swiss-born mother-of-two Barbara are planning to build a house together in Switzerland.
"I wish them well. We all wish them well. They are very happy. I have two wonderful parents and I still have two wonderful parents," said Tracy.
"No one's died, we just get on with it. Lester was with me on his own last weekend and he was in great form," the popular racing presenter added.
The news has not caused any acrimony with Piggott's wife Susan either, who said there are "no hard feelings".
"Put it this way, at 72 you feel very differently about things than you do at 25. All I wish for is Lester's health and happiness," Susan explained.
Barbara's husband, Lord John FitzGerald, is the racing manager of Lanwades Stud near Newmarket. Barbara previously worked for racehorse auctioneers Tattersalls.
