ALEX FERGUSON'S personnel nightmare is increasing by the day with the news that Antonio Valencia is the latest victim of the Old Trafford injury curse.
Valencia left training in a protective boot, while Nemanja Vidic was ruled out for two months after undergoing knee surgery.
Fergie's list of walking wounded is now so bad that he has been forced to consider teenager Michael Keane as emergency cover against Newcastle United tonight.
Both Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans shipped knocks against Liverpool and the Northern Ireland international would have no concerns about throwing Keane, who represented Ireland at Under 17, 18 and 19 level before switching to England, in at the deep end.
"I've been really impressed with young Michael Keane when he's stepped up into training with us," said Evans.
