HHH BROADCASTING sisters Grainne and Sile Seoige (inset below) will step out as sports stars next month to help raise money for a worthy cause. The gaelgoirs will join a string of well-known faces on August 12 at 6.30pm in Saint Conleth's Park, Kildare for a celebrity hurling match in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. The event, which has been organised for the third year in a row by horse racing legend Jim Bolger and champion jockey Davy Russell, has to-date raised €200,000 for the charity's cancer research programme.

HHH The Amazing Snakeheads have announced a headline show in The Grand Social on October 19. Following recent support dates with Jack White and a headline slot on the BBC Introducing stage at T In The Park, The Amazing Snakeheads will spend the summer touring the festival circuit and have announced a full UK tour for October 2014. The band's debut album, Amphetamine Ballads is out now. Tickets for their Dublin gig are priced at €15 and go on sale today at 9am from www.ticketmaster.ie.

HHH MUSICIANS Nialler9 and Mother are coming together to produce a very special BYOB event in Moxie studios on Pembroke Row, Lad Lane, Dublin as part of Laya Healthcare's City Spectacular. The Last Days Of Disco will feature live sets from electronic synth-disco band Ships, Sligo's disco and funk-indebted electronic live band Diosco na mbo, while DJ sets will come from Mother Club. Tickets are €15.

HHH THEATRE goers will soon enjoy the Guthanna Binne Siorai series of unique performances comprising a mix of poetry by Seamus Heaney, WB Yeats and Samuel Beckett at the Samuel Beckett Theatre, Trinity College, Dublin 2 from August 12 to 16. Tickets are available for €12.
