Harnedy boost for Rebels

COrk

CORK hopes of resuscitating their hurling summer have been boosted by the return from injury of Seamus Harnedy (above) for Saturday night's All-Ireland SHC qualifier away to Wexford, writes Frank Roche.

The St Ita's clubman, who missed the Munster semi-final defeat to Waterford, has now been listed at full-forward for the trip to Slaneyside, while there is also a call-up for Castlemartyr's Brian Lawton at wing-forward.

Shane O'Neill (ankle injury) and Luke O'Farrell (suspended) make way. Some notable positional switches see Aidan Walsh relocate to wing-back and Stephen McDonnell move to full-back.

CORK v (Wexford): A Nash; D Cahalane, S McDonnell, B Murphy; A Walsh, M Ellis, C Murphy; D Kearney, B Cooper; C Lehane, P Cronin, B Lawton; A Cadogan, S Harnedy, P Horgan.

Clare

Galvin back for Banner

Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald has named his 26-man panel for Saturday's home qualifier against Offaly, with Colm Galvin the most eye-catching inclusion following his recent return from the United States.

Brendan Bugler returns from suspension while Conor McGrath has recovered from his hamstring travails.

Cathal O'Connell (calf strain) and suspended captain Patrick Donnellan miss out.
