Grainne's shy to show off beau Leon on night out

RTE presenter Grainne Seoige (38) is continuing to tackle a blossoming romance with rugby hunk Leon Jordaan, the Diary can reveal.

The Crimecall frontwoman was spotted enjoying a night out with the South African rugby coach at the World Body Building championship at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre on Saturday.

However, clearly neither of them want a repeat of the snaps which emerged two months ago showing them affectionately hugging each other during a charity game.

Both she and her beau declined to pose for pics on the night out, which saw them seated in the VIP area as they watched competitors from all over the world flexing their muscles.

The pair have been dating for more than six months after meeting through mutual friends while he was coaching Galway side Corinthians.

Yet the couple are clearly intent on keeping the relationship out of the spotlight as much as possible.

"Grainne was on a night off and was out with friends so didn't really want to be photographed, especially given that she was with Leon. She just wanted to relax and enjoy the night," said a source.

However, she has talked about her feelings for the Navan RFC coach, who has been living in Ireland for the past number of years: "I am in love, and it really is a wonderful feeling for someone to have your back," she said.

"I am very happy, he is a great guy. This happened when I was really not looking for it, not expecting it. He's a wonderful man, and I feel lucky," she said.

"We've been going out since last year, we just didn't talk about it. You need that time to figure things out," she said. "That was the challenge for a long time, keeping it quiet, so for a long time we had to get to know each other."

Gorgeous Grainne wasn't the only familiar face seen at the event. It saw awards being dished out by some of Byrne's celebrity clients including Brian Kennedy and former Miss Universe Rozanna Purcell.

New mum Michelle Heaton, who along with hubbie Hugh Hanley is a qualified fitness trainer, took centre stage as she hosted the event.
