Gongs apiece for Diageo, Glanbia

GLANBIA Ingredients Ireland and Diageo have won Best Business to Business Partnership for their sustainable cream initiative at the annual Responsible Business Awards in London.
The initiative relates to the production of the top-selling Baileys liqueur, which is made with Glanbia cream from Virginia, Co Cavan.
The two companies were recognised for creating a sustainability programme for the entire process chain, from cow to glass.
Earlier this year, Glanbia launched its "Open Source" sustainability and quality assurance programme, under which its 4,500 farmer suppliers will be audited to make sure they comply with sustainability benchmarks.
