ELECTRONIC act Le Galaxie are set to rock Dublin tonight with a homecoming gig at Meeting House Square.

As part of NYF Dublin the four-piece will take to the outdoor stage for a long overdue hometown appearance.

2014 was a great year for Dave McLaughlin, Michael Pope, Anthony Hyland and Alistair Higgins but 2015 looks set to be even bigger.

Their new album Le Club is slated for release early next year and the festival favourites will get back to touring properly again.

"It's a great end to our year. It's been a while since we played in Dublin," Dave McLaughlin told the Diary.

The musician spent time in LA this year mixing their newest album alongside Eric Broucek, in-house producer with New York electro act LCD Soundsystem.

"We wanted to hold it back until everything was right- but Le galaxie fans are used to waiting," he joked.

"LA was quite an experience. Everyone is just a character there," he added.

Despite ten-hour days in the studio, McLaughlin and his bandmate Michael Pope enjoyed 'peeking under the lid' of the home of sci-fi and movies.

But back on home soil they are looking forward to kicking off 2015 with a bang.

"It's going to be a huge night for us," McLaughlin revealed.

For those who can't make the Countdown Concert or who simply want to continue the party, the electro-rockers are DJing at an exclusive after-party.

Tickets are available via the band's Facebook page.

The band are remaining tight-lipped about the location of the late-night set but are keen to reassure fans that the venue is not far from the Temple Bar.
