Given looks to Fudge for sweet repeat

The Lincolnshire trainer landed the Group Two event for juvenile fillies with Summitville in 2002 and is hopeful of a good show from Fenella Fudge in this year's renewal, run under the banner of Keepmoat "Delivering Community Regeneration".

Although she has yet to win, Fenella Fudge has shown plenty of promise in finishing third in both her starts.

"She is a similar type to Summitville -- a long-striding sort of filly and one that is going to be better next year," he said. "Her races haven't suited her, but at Goodwood she ran incredibly well as she had to make all the running."

Speedy

A field of seven is headed by Godolphin's unbeaten White Moonstone, John Gosden's Midnight Caller and the Paul Cole-trained Lily Again.

Al Madina, Ed Dunlop's Musharakaat and Mick Channon's Sonning Rose make up the list.

Meanwhile the speedy Zebedee goes for his sixth win from seven starts when he takes on 12 rivals in the Polypipe Flying Childers Stakes.

The only blot on his copybook to date came when he finished fifth to Approve in the Group Two Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot.

He now has a second crack at that level after lifting the Group Three Molecomb Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and a valuable event at Newmarket two weeks ago.

Trainer Richard Hannon is keen on the chances of the Invincible Spirit youngster, who is his only runner on the card.

"Zebedee showed at Newmarket that he gets the six furlongs, but arguably this five is his optimum trip," he said. Opposition includes the unbeaten New Planet, Electric Waves, Dinkum Diamond, Keratiya plus Irish raiders Meow and Ladie's Choice.
