Gardai pair under fire after pulling Georgia for photo

MODEL Georgia Salpa thought she'd landed in trouble with the law when she was pulled over after a night out.

However, the Killiney beauty was relieved when she discovered the two gardai were just looking for a photo with the beauty.

Georgia - who enjoyed a night on the tiles in Monaghan last night - became involved in her most bizarre photo call to date as the 26-year-old was driving home at 3am.

The leggy brunette has said she was bewildered when local gardai told her to pull her car over to the side of the road. "We weren't sure what was going on at first or why they were pulling us over, but it turned out they just wanted to get in a photo with me," she said.

Dressed in a low-cut black mini dress topped off with an official garda hat, the Dubliner looks delighted as she is flanked by the two officers, after signing autographs at Vanity nightclub in Carrickmacross in the early hours.

But the incident has not gone down well with Fianna Fail.

Demanding an explanation, Fianna Fail spokesman Dara Calleary slammed the young officers and said the incident was "most inappropriate". "This is certainly not the way garda resources should be used."

The Garda Press Office has yet to release an official statement.
