Garda bid to trace 600 after Tory death
tragedy
GARDAI last night issued an appeal to find anyone who saw tragic Tory Johnston at a nightclub on the day she died.
The 17-year-old collapsed and died at Letterkenny General Hospital on Wednesday morning, just hours after feeling unwell at the Voodoo Nightclub in the town.
A post mortem failed to find a cause of death and gardai are awaiting the results of toxicology reports.
Detectives believe more than 630 people attended the nightclub that night and have now appealed to anybody with any information on Tory's movements to come forward.
They have set up a specific email address for anyone with information to come forward with.
"Gardai are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was socialising in Voodoo nightclub in the early hours of July 15 and who may be in possession of information that would assist with the investigation," said a spokesman.
"Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Letterkenny Garda Station in confidence at lkgarda@garda.ie"
It may be three weeks before toxicology results are known.
School friends of Tory have been invited to sign a book of condolences at her school Loreto Secondary in Letterkenny today.
Her funeral will take place this Sunday at 2pm at St Eunan's Cathedral.
