Garda attack youth bailed Teenage girl denies assault
A YOUTH who attacked a female garda as she was trying to cordon off an area has been remanded on continuing bail pending sentence.
The boy (17) had pleaded guilty earlier to assaulting the garda and criminal damage to a patrol car, at Clonmacnoise Road, in Crumlin, in Dublin, on July 3 last year.
Judge Smyth adjourned sentencing the teen until January for an updated probation report on his efforts to address his offending behaviour.
Teenage girl denies assault
A girl has pleaded not guilty to attacking a woman who was beaten up at a playground in Dublin.
The girl (17) has been charged at the Children's Court with assault causing harm to a woman (27), at Fairview Park, in north Dublin on March 21 last.
Judge Smyth remanded the teen on bail pending her trial in the Children's Court on a date in November.
