Foxes throw eye over Reghba

The Ireland U19 cap is in demand after a successful season where he made his Premier Division debut for Bohs and also helped the Gypsies win the U19 league title.

Championship sides Middlesbrough and Brentford have had Reghba on trial but Leicester are very keen on the forward and he was involved in an U23 game away to Brighton last night, starting the game on the bench.

As the 18-year-old is out of contract with Bohs, the Phibsboro club will only be entitled to compensation if he does move abroad, with former club Shelbourne also due compensation.

The striker has previously stated his desire to try his luck in England but Bohemians hope that if he does not secure a move to the UK, he will re-sign at Dalymount Park for 2019.

Team-mate Andy Lyons was also on trial in England since the end of the 2018 season, spending a week with Premier League side Wolves, but the defender is now back in Dublin and any move is unlikely to take place until next summer, after the under-age international completes his Leaving Cert.

Meanwhile, former Ireland U21 cap Kieran Sadlier has confirmed his exit from Cork City by signing for Doncaster Rovers.

Cork's leading scorer last season, Sadlier was in demand - with clubs in Ireland and England chasing his signature - but League One outfit Doncaster won the race to sign the 24-year-old.

He said: "It means a lot to have signed.

"I've done well over the past 18 months in Ireland and I'm really looking forward to joining Doncaster."

Elsewhere, St Patrick's Athletic have re-signed keeper Barry Murphy ahead of the new season.
