Four die as zoo trams collide

Four people were killed and more than 30 were injured when two trams collided at a zoo in north-east Thailand.

The accident occurred at the Kao Suan Kwang Zoo in the province of Khon Kaen.

Police chief Pichit Deeya said all the victims were Thai and a two-year-old girl was among those killed.

He said one of the tram drivers lost control due to a problem with the vehicle's brakes and crashed into the tram in front, causing both to overturn. About 10 other children were injured.
