Food for thought
Zoe Lynch
We have all heard 'you are what you eat'. A certain truth shows that particular foods are proven to enhance brain health and activity. Eating healthily at this time of inherent stress should boost energy levels. Such foods include:
berries
nuts
wholegrain carbohydrates eg brown rice
fish
eggs
leafy, green vegetables
chocolate. Dark chocolate contains an antioxidant that increases blood flow to the brain. So next time you fancy a sweet treat, indulge guilt-free.
Try to incorporate some of these foods in your diet over the coming weeks. Any healthy suggestion possible is worth giving a go.
