Focus in on All-Ireland campaign: Dublin chief
THE following ia a statement from Maureen King, chairperson of the Dublin Ladies Football Board, following the announcement of the Dublin ladies senior football panel for 2012:
"Team Dublin has enjoyed significant success at all levels of competition in club and county over the past number of years. This has been contributed to in no small part by the talent, experience and commitment of the many management teams and players involved down through the years.
"We all continue to have a huge responsibility to maintain and develop the legacy that has been passed on.
"One of the biggest challenges to this is the ability to recognise and adapt to the change required to continue to compete at the highest echelons of this, the fastest-growing sport in the country.
Undisputed
"The current management team comes with an undisputed scale of experience and success achieved with college and county teams to date, and demonstrates that they have the know-how and ability to implement the approaches required to maintain Dublin's competitiveness at this level.
"The focus of Dublin Ladies Management team, players and County Board is on the job at hand, which is the All-Ireland campaign.
"The Board offers its continued support and best wishes to the team," the statement concludes.
