Firm's €7.6m settlement
A CONCRETE manufacturing firm was among 62 defaulters listed by the Revenue Commissioners and made a settlement of €7.65m last year. This figure is one of the highest since 2002.
Investigations have yielded more than €116m in the last three months of 2010, new figures show.
The biggest settlement was made by Gleeson Concrete with an address at Pamdohlen House, Dooradoyle Road, Co Limerick after under-declaring corporation tax, VAT and PAYE/PRSI.
Quarry operator John Gallagher, based in Duleek, Co Meath made a settlement of €3m after underdeclaring tax.
A further two settlements totalling €590,000 related to bogus non-resident holders while 10 cases totalling €8.28m related to investigations into offshore funds.
