The Candelight Bar will form the venue for the ISPCC's annual summer party, with socialite Avila Lipsett helping to organise the bash. She has invited all her VBFs to the fundraiser, which will kick off with a cocktail and wine reception followed by Thai-style Tapas.

There will also be live music and a DJ with lots of raffle prizes being dished out on the night. Entry is €15 and proceedings will kick off at 7pm. Emily MacKeogh will be hosting proceedings and among those on the guest list are Emily O'Donnell, male model Sam Homan and Romy Carroll.

FFF Good news for those heading to the Electric Picnic next month. For the first time ever, the Stradbally festival will feature an Other Voices stage and will feature a mixture of Irish and international acts.

Previously based in a 200-year-old church in Dingle, the Kerry venue has been the home of the RTE music show since 2002 - but now it's spreading its wings. The stage will be set up in the heart of the Stradbally Hall Woods in a bid to maintain its intimate vibe.

Over on the main stage, there will be plenty of action keeping attendees entertained too, including Lily Allen, Paolo Nutini, Pet Shop Boys, Portishead, Outkast and Beck. But you better be quick if you fancy going to the August 29-31 event. Many of the ticket packages are already sold out.

FFF Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts will be on these shores this winter when he brings his Irish tour here. The Welsh tenor will be taking to the stage at the Cork Opera House on November 5, kicking off his Irish performances, before hitting the Olympia on November 7.
