FEARS are growing today for a mother and her young son missing without trace.

Aoife Ni Raghaill and two-year-old Oscar from Bray, Co Wicklow, disappeared four days ago.

They were last seen in Dublin city centre on Saturday and gardai have issued a public appeal seeking any information as to their whereabouts.

The Herald understands that Aoife (35) stayed in a friend's house in Drimnagh on Friday night before being dropped to a Luas stop on Saturday morning.

The mum-of-one said she was going for a walk along the canal.

However, gardai from Pearse Street spoke with her on Grafton Street that night and then contacted her father Muiris, who asked that they be put in a taxi.

However, Aoife and her son never arrived home to Bray and the family now fear for their safety.
