Farrell's Dubs to face Longford or Laois in quarters

DESSIE FARRELL'S Dublin minors footballers will face either Longford or Laois in the Leinster MFC quarter-final following yesterday's draw in Punchestown.

The young Dubs will have home advantage for this last-eight clash on Saturday, May 19 although their opponents won't be known until Longford and Laois clash next Wednesday.

The two other confirmed quarter-finals see Kildare host Louth and Meath welcome Offaly while last night's drew between Carlow and Wexford in Horsewood means Wicklow still have three potential quarter-final opponents, with Westmeath awaiting the winners of the replay.

The Dublin minor hurlers, meanwhile, will face Wexford on Saturday, May 5 in Parnell Park in the Leinster MHC in their first defence of their provincial crown.

RD 2: 5. Winner 1 v Loser 4, May 12, TBC; 6 Winner 2 v Loser 3, May 12, TBC.
