Farney army to shoot up Cavan

CAVAN v MONAGHAN (Breffni Pk, Tonight, 7.0)

SUDDENLY, Malachy O'Rourke's Farney Army are Division 3 favourites after an inspired performance over Meath where Darren Hughes and Conor McManus starred.

ODDS: Cavan 15/8, Draw 15/2, Monaghan 8/15 VERDICT: Monaghan

FERMANAGH v ROSCOMMON

(Brewster Park, Tonight, 7.0)

FERMANAGH had a big win last week, although their victorious trip to Aughrim comes with the caveat that Wicklow weren't up to a whole lot.

ODDS: Fermanagh 4/5, Draw 7/1, Roscommon 11/8 VERDICT: Fermanagh

SLIGO v ANTRIM (Markievicz Pk, Tomorrow 2.0)

BOTH teams with top marks, Antrim thanks to a strong third quarter against Cavan, although the loss of Seán McVeigh to a straight red sees them shorn one of their midfielders. Sligo won the battle of Connacht with Roscommon and should make it two from two here.

ODDS: Sligo 4/5, Draw 7/1, Antrim 13/10

VERDICT: Sligo

WICKLOW v MEATH (Aughrim, Tom 2.0)

TWO absolute horror shows to make up for here. Wicklow suffered the ignominy of a belly tickling on their own patch, while Meath's dispiriting defeat was compounded by the loss of Damien Carroll to a broken ankle during the week.

ODDS: Wicklow 9/4, Draw 15/2, Meath 4/9

VERDICT: Meath

WATERFORD v TIPPERARY

(Dungarvan, Tonight, 7.0)

MANY people's favourites for promotion, Tipperary co-starred in the story of the opening weekend of Division 4 when they conspired to lose to Carlow in Thurles. Amends likely to be made immediately.

ODDS: Waterford 13/8, Draw 7/1, Tipperary 4/6 VERDICT: Tipperary

OFFALY v LIMERICK (Tullamore, Tom 2.0)

NIALL McNAMEE hasn't recovered fitness and so is left off the Offaly squad again, although Peter Cunningham is promoted to start after kicking five points as a substitute in Ruislip last weekend. Limerick too had a good win at home to FBD champions Leitrim but should find the going tougher against an Offaly team for whom progress is both incremental and apparent.

ODDS: Offaly 4/6, Draw 7/1, Limerick 8/5

VERDICT: Offaly

LEITRIM v CLARE (Carrick-On-Shannon, Tom 2.0)

THE Micko effect failed to jolt Clare to victory against Waterford and, most likely, the benefits of his presence won't be seen until summer. Leitrim had a setback against Limerick but should bounce back here.

ODDS: Leitrim 10/11, Draw 7/1, Clare 23/20

VERDICT: Leitrim
