Famous faces come out for Bord Gais Energy Irish Book Awards 2010

- A lot of famous faces will be donning their glitzy best tonight for the Bord Gais Energy Irish Book Awards 2010 gala awards ceremony in The Round Room at the Mansion House.

Hosted by Sinead Desmond and John Murray, the awards will be attended by Cecelia Ahern, Emma Donoghue, Cathy Kelly and Roddy Doyle as well as popular personalities Ryan Tubridy, Amy Huberman, Johnny Giles, Donal Og Cusack, Donal Skehan and Matt Cooper.

- THE Wright Venue in Swords is showcasing the best of Argentina's nightlife culture on Saturday as part of The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project in which 14 countries pair up to exchange crates containing the best of their local nightlife.

In turn, Argentina will receive the best of Ireland's home-grown nightlife, as voted by the Irish public.

The Wright Venue will feature the best food of the South American country, a barbecue, music from top DJ Elio Riso and spectacular theatrical acts. Tickets cost €15.

- THE latest troupe of Operation Transformation hopefuls stepped out alongside Kathryn Thomas and the show's team of leading experts this morning.

The final selection of 23 applicants gathered at the Santry Sportslink to be assessed and appear on the John Murray Show.

John talked to the potential leaders about their personal stories, why they think they have what it takes to be a leader for Operation Transformation, and how their weight has affected their confidence, lifestyle and wardrobe.

- NEWSTALK'S Tom Dunne was joined by a string of guests on his show which was live from the Guinness Storehouse this morning for a special launch.

The presenter was joined by Jason Byrne, Georgia Salpa, Lorraine Keane and Paul Brady to launch the new version of the signature nudie pen, which has been a huge hit with listeners, displaying the broadcaster in his birthday suit.

The pen has developed a cult following, with only a few lucky listeners winning one.
