Fainting Gillian tipped to quit I'm A Celebrity
GILLIAN McKeith is tipped to quit 'I'm A Celebrity' after the public voted for her to face a second bushtucker trial in tonight's show.
The result of the vote came after millions of viewers in Ireland and the UK saw Gillian faint and require oxygen following a trial in which she was placed in an underground box with rats.
Nutritionist McKeith screamed and hyper-ventilated after she was "buried alive" with rats in the 'Crate Escape' task. Crew members then had to carry her from the box and give her oxygen after she fainted.
UNDERWEAR
While McKeith is now favourite to walk out of the jungle, the competition between outback 'babes' Stacey Soloman, Kayla Collins and Sheryl Gascoigne continues to gather pace.
Former X Factor finalist Stacey wore a pretty bikini -- with many saying she was trying to replicate the success of Myleene Klass when she showered in the jungle wearing a white bikini. The three women held producers to ransom, refusing to sport bikinis unless they were provided extra underwear. It is understood they received three pairs each before entering the jungle.
Meanwhile, Dubliners Jedward have turned down a slot on the TV3 series for the second time.
John and Edward Grimes (19) were at the centre of speculation that they could be joining celebrities in the Australian jungle as surprise guests on the latest series.
On Saturday night, Xtra Factor presenter Konnie Huq sent the rumour mill into overdrive after joking with contestant Aiden Grimshaw about his fringe. She remarked how his hairstyle rivalled the twins' quiffs, proposing a "measure-off" between the two acts, but added, "If they weren't in the jungle, of course."
But the Herald can reveal there is "no truth" to any of the reports suggesting that they would be indulging in some maggot munching down-under, alongside stars such as Nigel Havers and Linford Christie.
In fact, they are over in Britain performing a string of sell-out dates all over the country, ending in London's Indigo on November 29, ahead of their appearance in the Cinderella Christmas panto next month.
INSIDER
"They were offered it alright but there's no way they could do it," said an insider.
"They're just too busy. They're in the middle of their UK tour and they have loads of dates to play over the next two weeks.
"The show is often seen as a last refuge for celebrities whose careers are on a downer and want to freshen things up.
"And that's not where Jedward are at in their careers.
