Eurozone slump fear
A DEEPER eurozone recession could be on the way, the closely-watched Purchasing Managers' Index survey has indicated.
Financial data company Markit said its PMI -- a gauge of business activity -- for the region fell to 45.9 in September from 46.3 in August. Anything below 50 indicates a contraction in economic activity. The decline was a surprise as the consensus in the markets was for a modest improvement.
