Wags on the ball as they get set to jet out to lead fans in support

THE wives and girlfriends of the Leinster team will be jetting to Bordeaux tomorrow to support their men.

Amy Huberman, Aoife Cogan and Darine Cullen will be leading Blues fans to France to cheer on the team for this weekend's Heineken Cup semi-final against French side Clermont Auvergne.

Fresh from filming the second season of her hit TV comedy series Threesome, Brian O'Driscoll's wife Amy is set to touch down in Bordeaux with captain Leo Cullen's wife and Gordon D'Arcy's fiancee Aoife Cogan.

Brunette beauty Nadia Forde told the Herald she'll just be flying in for the day on Sunday, but said she had to be there to shout for her man Luke Fitzgerald.

However, not all of the boys' other halves will be cheering from the stands in Stade Chaban Delmas.

While her close pal Nadia will be singing along with Leinster fans, model Hazel O'Sullivan revealed she has to put work first and won't be among the brigade to help the lads land another victory.

"I'm flying out to New York today. I've to go to a casting that's major for me and I've been preparing for it about three months now. I've set up a number of important meetings as well while I'm there, so I just can't cancel."

But the Assets girl insisted she'll get plenty of chances to see boyfriend Fergus McFadden in action in the future, and is hoping the next time will be in Twickenham for the Heineken Cup final.

"I'm disappointed I won't be there, but the way I see it, Ferg has a massive career ahead of him so there will be loads more opportunities to see him play."

Outgoing Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter and prop Cian Healy's girlfriend will be another absentee this weekend.

The Clontarf native has been forced to stay in Dublin for the weekend to hand over her pageant crown and Devin Toner's girlfriend Mary Scott has has to sit this one out due to work commitments.
