Zig and Zag act the puppet on Big Brother

Housemates have become Big Brother's puppets as part of their latest task.

Big Brother gathered them on the sofa this morning where they found muppet-style puppets of themselves, and were informed via video by presenting duo Zig and Zag that they must only talk through their puppets all day, in a bid to win a birthday party for army veteran Steve, who turns 41 today.

Vegan Sunshine made her puppet ask John James': "Do you fancy Sunshine?"

But the Aussie scoffed: "How can I fancy you with a big schnoz like that?"

Sunshine cried back in mock anguish: "I can get surgery! I can change!"

Then she mused: "Do you know, a few years ago I considered having a nose job..."

Amputee Steve's puppet has his prosthetic metal legs made from spatulas, with children's trainers stuck on the end.

Steve laughed: "I hope disability rights don't take this the wrong way! Well they look like mine, don't they?"

The housemates must wear the puppets on one hand at all times, even when trying to eat, smoke, shave and go to the loo.

The housemates were shown a video of Zig and Zag and a puppet of evicted housemate Govan explaining the rules of the task to them.
