RTE's two biggest chat shows are locked in a battle to win the first TV chat with Gerry Ryan's ex Melanie Verwoerd -- but she has revealed to the Herald that she still hasn't decided which interview she wants to do.
Melanie is hot property following the release of her book When We Dance, which reveals intimate details of the couple's relationship and gives an insight into Gerry's life before his death.
Melanie is being courted by both the Late Late Show, which is presented by Ryan Tubridy, and The Saturday Night Show, which is fronted by Brendan O'Connor.
It is understood that O'Connor's Saturday Night Show approached Melanie first.
Ms Verwoerd told the Herald today she still has not decided which RTE chat show she will be appearing on to promote the book.
"It's not decided yet," she said this morning.
She said her main attention today was on a High Court bid to stop the publication of When We Dance.
The book is due to hit the shops today, but it was reported that Dave Kavanagh, a music promoter, was seeking an immediate injunction to stop the book going on sale.
It is understood he is objecting to a reference to him in the autobiography.
