Mad Men -- starring Christina Hendricks (right) -- is all the rage at the moment, and rightly so.
A stylish harking back to a golden era when working hours seemed to be short, expense accounts were never-ending, and casual sexism and misogyny in the workplace was considered de rigueur, it has rightly struck a chord with many viewers.
All of which begs one question.
If these are the things that Irish viewers really want, why don't we just make a soap opera out of the Dail proceedings?
Because with a bit of scrubbing up on the part of a few independent TDs, all the other ingredients are there...
