Style STakes

Off the Rails

RTE1, 8pm Brendan Courtney gives a stand-up comedienne a makeover, Sonya Lennon (left) looks at the fashion choices of Lady Gaga (you mean the little 'headless' number she wore on The X Factor?) and Cheryl Cole (the other headless ex of X Factor).

There is also a guide to buying blazers (do people still buy blazers?).

I'm a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!

TV3, 8.30pm The celebs wake up to another day of collecting firewood, boiling rice and cleaning out the toilet (like any typical day in the recession) as well as performing the odd challenge. Ant and Dec (two of the jungle's more unpleasant life forms) present highlights of the past 24 hours and reveal which camper must perform tomorrow's Bushtucker Trial.

Frozen Planet

BBC1, 9pm With the arrival of autumn, the Arctic Ocean begins freezing over and polar bears gather in large numbers on the coast to await the return of the ice. Meanwhile, two thousand whales head for a particular estuary to thrash against the gravel and exfoliate. (Who said that sounds like an ICA spa weekend?)

MasterChef Goes Large

RTE2, 8.15 Not to be mistaken for a cookery school for the obese, the three most promising contestants are sent to the kitchens of London's La Porchetta, where they prepare simple Italian meals.

Their final challenge is to make a two-course meal for judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace before they decide which of them will go through to the quarter-final.
