MTV has begun a search for a young Irish person who wishes to have their birthday bash beamed to viewers across the globe.
The major US TV channel has teamed up with the exclusive Wright Venue in Swords, which has agreed to host the big birthday bash to organise the event.
MTV has already begun interviewing potential stars for My Super Sweet.
The events often involve a helicopter ride to the venue, thousands of screaming guests and an internationally renowned musician or DJ to help party the night away.
The hugely popular MTV show is being revamped and the traditional 'Sweet 16' theme has been broadened to include birthdays up to age 24.
A spokeswoman for the Wright Venue told the Herald that the event will be very different to the two episodes of My Super Sweet 16 that were filmed here in the past and sparked controversy.
"The programme will have a much edgier, sassier feel to it with the focus being very much on the main event," she said.
"We will turn the venue over to you. You can decorate it in your chosen theme and you can invite up to 2,500 friends to help you celebrate."
The My Super Sweet 16 version of the show has been embroiled in controversy on the two occasions it came to our shore.
Claudia Cardillo from Co Kilkenny had her party aired on MTV in 2009 with the event taking place in the lavish surrounds of the Lyrath House Estate in Kilkenny but it did not have the positive impact many locals were expecting.
Talking about her younger sister, Nadia, Claudia said: "She just jets off to Paris to see her friends and to shop, because there aren't any good shops in Kilkenny."
