X FACTOR'S Rebecca Creighton (19) has said it's a joke that Wagner Carillho is still in the competition while girlband Belle Amie has been given the boot.
The pint-sized crooner from Tallaght revealed to the Herald how she is "absolutely gutted" that they became the sixth act to leave the hit contest last weekend.
An emotional Rebecca feels that it's incredible the hirsute Brazilian, who was booed during Sunday's results show, remains in the TV programme while other "more worthy acts" have been kicked out.
"It is scary because so much talent has left the competition and it upsets us that a fun act like that can take someone else's place in the programme," she said.
"Don't get me wrong, Wagner's a lovely man but it's just scary to think that he's still in the show when so many other people have gone who can actually sing.
"People on the internet are doing this campaign to keep him in the programme because they hate the X Factor but they don't realise that they're messing with people's lives and careers, just for their own entertainment."
However, she has revealed how their mentor, Simon Cowell, is continuing to back them and that they're determined to make a music career regardless.
"This isn't the end of the dream, it's only the start of it. We've decided we're going to get a flat together in London and we have already been booked solidly for gigs for the next three weeks," she said.
"It's just really sad as we all get on so well as a group. We're all totally chatterboxes and we'd spend hours staying up at night talking our heads off and just having a laugh, so it's gutting for us to get out."
