Psychoville actress Lisa Hammond is joining the EastEnders cast as its newest market stall trader.
She will take up her pitch in Albert Square as Donna Yates from April, with Walford's residents finding her a difficult character to begin with.
Hammond – who sometimes uses a wheelchair – has previously appeared in Bleak House, Max And Paddy's Road To Nowhere and started her acting career in Grange Hill when she was 13.
She said: "It's a great opportunity to be a part of such a big and popular show. Donna is a bit of a handful but they're always the most fun characters to play. It feels good to be bad!"
Donna is described as a loudmouth who never lets her guard down. Eventually viewers will see her more vulnerable side.
