Proud family jets in to cheer on X Factor Janet as she flies the flag for Ireland

X FACTOR hopeful Janet Devlin's family jet off to London today to see their daughter perform in the opening double bill of the live rounds.

Proud parents Aquinas and Patricia Devlin, from Gortin, Co Tyrone, will watch 16-year-old Janet perform at Wembley Arena -- as Ireland lays its hopes on the budding pop star.

"This week has been very overwhelming, we've had so many calls of good luck," said mum Patricia, who added that she has been on the phone "non-stop" since her youngest child made the last 16 in the contest.

"I'll be more nervous than her I think," the 47-year-old revealed to the Herald.

"We're all geared up and ready to go, we're really excited now," said Patricia, who will be staying with friends in Notting Hill for the weekend, and insists that as long as Janet keeps focused, there will be no problems for her.

The 'Devlinators' will be out in force tonight, and alongside the singer's mum and her husband Aquinas will be Janet's brother Jason (22), her boyfriend Brendan (17) and some cousins.

"We get eight tickets every week, so we're hoping everyone will get the opportunity to go over and see her," Patricia said.

While her support team won't get the chance to catch up with the schoolgirl before she takes to the stage, they are looking forward to seeing her in the guest room when the cameras are off.

Janet and her new pals will show off their makeovers in tonight's live show as they battle it out to avoid getting the axe.

The songstress -- favoured to win the series -- has shown off glossy red locks, replacing her blonde waves as part of her X Factor image.

But her biggest fan Patricia said viewers can rest assured -- her cute, casual style will remain.

"I would imagine she'll stick to her own style -- she wasn't sure what they had lined up for her, but to be honest if she doesn't like it she won't wear it."

In a dramatic twist, four contestants are set to get the boot tomorrow and there will be no public vote, contrary to the usual format.

Bookmakers Paddy Power has tipped Gary Barlow's act James Michael, Girl's hopeful Sophie Habibis, group 2 Shoes and Over 25s Sami Brookes as the first to be booted off.

Janet still holds poll position as overall winner at odds of 7/2 -- with much of the money coming from Ireland.
