We ride shotgun in Warwick-shire as the police launch a road war with hardened criminals and come down hard on maniacs using public roads as their playground.

Tonight, the cops take no chances when chemicals used for making large quantities of drugs are discovered. And a Chinese man gets used to life behind bars when it is discovered he hasn't had a driving licence for more than a year.



UNSOLVED MYSTERY

Here's another 'hold the front page' saga from the archives. The year was 1983 and on a foggy winter's evening, a group of armed men forced their way into a stud farm in county Kildare to kidnap superstar racehorse Shergar.

This prized animal, worth millions in stud, disappeared off the face of the earth and was never found.
