TV3 presenter Elaine Crowley has revealed she has become the producer as well as presenter of her Midday show.
Elaine admitted that she was delighted to take on the position, as she feels presenting has "a shelf life".
"The more strings to your bow the better -- I love the show and I wanted more editorial control of the show, so it works well," said the brunette beauty.
The Cork native is thrilled with her latest credential, despite its initial challenges.
"For the first couple of weeks it was a challenge and I was thinking 'Oh my God, am I completely insane?' but I got through it and I'm really enjoying it.
"It's all gone pretty smoothly -- and thankfully I haven't bitten off more than I can chew," the 31-year-old former newsreader told the Herald.
"I just started doing both last month, so it's been mayhem, but all has settled down now.
"It's the first time I've done it and I kept it quiet initially but it's going well now so I'm delighted," she said.
"The opportunity came up and I said 'why not?' -- it's an amazing opportunity and I think you need to be able to do both."
The host added that there are a number of plans for the weekday programme in the pipeline, but has not yet revealed what she is hoping to do now that she is at the helm.
"We have a lot going on but there are plans afoot for the new year, I'm really looking forward to it, it'll be fun," said the TV personality, who joined TV3 in 2000.
She added that she has changed a few things "here and there" while finding her feet in her role both behind and in front of the cameras.
