New boss Nidge is back ... but Trish doesn't look too happy

NEWLY-crowned crime boss 'Nidge' is back in town, as our exclusive pictures reveal.

Undercover filming on the new series of RTE gangland drama Love/Hate is currently taking place across the capital.

Cast and crew were desperately trying to keep it low key in Blanchardstown.

"The set is on absolute lockdown and producers are extremely protective about what is going on," a source said.

"Between scenes and whenever they see photographers around, the cast are told to keep their hoods up."

At the conclusion of the second series, the epic twist saw Nidge, played by Tom Vaughan Lawlor, take out Aiden Gillen's character John Boy.

John Boy met a brutal end when he was killed in cold blood by his former right-hand man.

On their first week of filming, these pics show Nidge with his on-screen wife Trish at their home in a quiet cul-de-sac estate.

The cast have also been back on the streets of Finglas and Kimmage filming from early morning until dark.

Earlier pictures showed Laurence Kinlan, who plays gang member Elmo, in a south inner city flat complex with a female newcomer.

But there is still no sign of Robert Sheehan, who plays henchman Darren and his girlfriend, played by Ruth Negga.

The pair were making a break for freedom at the end of the last series, but appeared to be pulled back in to the life of crime.

Ruth (29) is currently filming alongside Golden Globe winner Gabriel Byrne in new contemporary political thriller Coup.
