Model Lisa has no regrets quitting Game of Thrones

MODEL Lisa Nolan has insisted she has no regrets about giving up on Game of Thrones -- even though it has become a TV sensation.

The 22-year-old believes she didn't throw away her big chance to be a star, because acting was never something she wanted to pursue.

Lisa was cast in her first role opposite Liam Cunningham and Aidan Gillen, but backed out once she discovered she would be required to play a raunchy sex scene.

"I don't even watch the show, it's not my kind of TV to be honest. I definitely don't regret my decision to opt out of it," she told the Herald.

Backlash

"I'm glad I kept my dignity intact. I'm still happy with my choice," Lisa revealed.

"I was never that into acting, it wasn't a career I really wanted. The Game of Thrones things just happened randomly, I sort of fell into it. Modelling and presenting is more my agenda."

The Lucan native received widespread backlash online from Game of Throne fans for opting out of the series but is determined to move on.

The Assets model recently split from her boyfriend and has decided to put her love life on the back burner.

She's working on completing her final year of her Sports Science degree

But the ICA Bootcamp contestant admitted that she won't be putting her physiotherapy qualifications to use anytime soon.

"I want to follow modelling and do it full time for now. I've missed a lot of castings and had to turn down photocalls because of obligatory classes."

Unlike many of her model pals who are trying to land gigs in RTE or TV3, Dubliner Lisa wants a job on TG4.

"I have fluent Irish, so I think that's a better direction for me," she said.
