MEET Fair City's newest arrival, the beautiful 10-week-old baby boy who is acting the part of Carol's new baby.
Little Alex Tighe, from Springfield, Tallaght, was discovered by agency Talented Kids and hired by RTE at just two weeks old.
His doting mum Kim told the Herald that Alex has already bonded with his on-screen mum Carol, who is played by actress Aisling O'Neill.
Since Alex first appeared on September 22, he has Fair City's viewers going ga-ga about who his real father is -- Carol's former fiance Christy or current love Louie.
Kim told the Herald: "Aisling is lovely, they're all really nice in there. I'm not nervous about (the storyline) at all. The actors who play Christy and Louie are both lovely men and they're really good with him.
"He never makes strange on set, they comfort him in their arms and give him his soother. And they're able to content him on set if he starts crying.
"Usually at the start of a scene, a bell would ring to tell everyone to be quiet, but they don't do it when the baby's on set in case it frightens him."
Both Kim and her partner Paul have been accompanying Alex into RTE's Donnybrook studios, and all of the family -- including his brother Ryan (5) -- have been excitedly watching to see who will eventually win the paternity test.
"It's very interesting. It gets very exciting when you're dying to know who the father is."
