Madeline keen to bounce back from her ankle injury

MADELINE Mulqueen's modelling career has received another setback, just weeks after she signed with a new agency.

The fiancee of rising acting star Jack Reynor suffered an ankle injury while training in the gym.

The 23-year-old was relieved not to break anything, but is on crutches and is expected to be off her feet for several weeks.

Madeline has been dosing herself on painkillers and said she is thankful that she did not break any bones.

The model, who has been filming a pilot TV show for RTE called Bounce, is determined to stay positive following the nasty sprain.

The bad news comes after it was confirmed that the Limerick lass is one of the new faces at agency Distinct Model management.

Madeline was snapped up by the agency, which represents international model Faye Dinsmore and also signed last year's Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model contestant Sarah Kennedy.

She made the move just weeks after Morgan the Agency, who represent golden girl Thalia Heffernan, confirmed that they had parted ways with Madeline.

The pretty brunette left the agency at Christmas time in what was described as a "mutual parting of the ways".

While it was said that Madeline was planning on putting all her energy into supporting Jack's acting career, she is now delighted to have new representation.

Her 22-year-old other-half, who was born in Colorado but raised in Wicklow, is currently in Scotland filming a version of Macbeth with Michael Fassbender and French beauty Marion Cotillard.
