Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson has admitted she thought the worst of Irish model Nicola Hughes when she joined the cast of the reality show.

The Londoner (25) stars alongside the Sandyford native in the popular E4 series and was convinced Nicola's "intentions were wrong" when she first met her.

"At the beginning I didn't really spend that much time with her because I didn't know her," she said.

"I don't really hang out the boys [Alex Mytton and Jamie Laing] because they party a lot so I didn't really get to know her but she's actually just a normal girl."

Despite initial reservations, after getting closer to Assets model Louise, she found her to be "harmless".

"I thought her intentions were wrong at the beginning, that she was really up for being on the show and moving to London maybe for the wrong reasons - that she just wanted to be famous," she said.

"Actually she's really harmless. She's sweet and actually quite innocent."

The petite brunette has just returned from a two-month Stateside visit where the cast shot spin-off show Made In LA.

After seeing how loved-up Nicola and her boyfriend Alex Mytton were in Los Angeles, Louise is convinced Mytton has changed his love rat ways.

"I'd vouch for them, which is odd because I never thought Alex would come this far," she said.

"I actually think he is reformed. I spent a lot of time with him in LA and he was really well behaved, which was very strange."

accent

Speaking at the launch of the Electric Picnic's Just Eat Retreat, the British socialite, who has been linked to One Direction heartthrob Niall Horan, admitted she still has a soft spot for Irish men.

"I love the Irish accent, I think it's very attractive. I've kind of dated a couple of Irish men in my past," she revealed.

Festival fan Louise also looks set to leave London behind her this September as she plans to travel to Stradbally for this year's event.

"I can't wait," she said. "I've never been before but I'm a big fan of festivals. I missed Glastonbury so this is very exciting."
