Gillian Anderson has revealed that Jamie Dornan was "very easy to make fun of" on the set of The Fall.
The former X Files star admitted she enjoyed picking on him and revealed they had a great relationship while filming the drama about serial killer Paul Spector and the detective determined to catch him.
"Well, it's funny because I pick on him a lot," she said when asked about working with Jamie.
Jamie (32) is set for worldwide stardom next month upon the release of the widely anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey movie, and Gillian (46) finds his new status as a sex symbol quite funny.
"He's very easy to make fun of and he takes the p**s out of himself and he is very free at taking the piss out of everybody else," she said.
"So it's quite a joy to be able to reciprocate, especially on that subject matter. We have a lot of fun with it.''
Gillian credits her children with helping her unwind during filming of the dark drama.
The blonde beauty is mum to Piper (20), Oscar (8) and Felix (6).
"Just even to go from the set into my trailer where I had a child that I suddenly needed to be mommy to, that in itself taught me pretty quickly how to compartmentalise," she said.
"I don't find it that hard with anything, not just the dark stuff.
"My experience is you just do, that's work and that's home and they have their place," she said.
Meanwhile, it looks like Gillian could return to our screens with David Duchovny in a new series of the X Files.
Duchovny and Anderson played secret FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully who investigated paranormal/supernatural/alien activity.
Fox TV executives Dana Walden and Gary Newman revealed they have been in talks with series creator Chris Carter, as well as Duchovny and Anderson.
All three are busy with their individual projects but it's thought a revival of the top series could be on the cards if they were all free at the same time.
