He's a broadcaster with a passion for fashion, but Darren Kennedy has no intention of giving up presenting to design clothes full-time.

The Dublin stylist (31) has just launched his fourth menswear collection with Irish designer Louis Copeland, but he has no plans of taking a step back from his TV and radio duties to focus on his fashion line, like former Off The Rails presenter Brendan Courtney.

"My mainstay is broadcasting and everything else, whether it's writing about style or designing, is just another part of my world," he told the Herald.

"I love designing - in fact, I probably love it more because it's not my full-time gig.

"It always feels very fresh and exciting when it's not something you do every day, and I love learning new things."

Along with presenting popular shows for RTE including The Unemployables and #Trending, Darren is also a regular on ITV breakfast show This Morning and recently worked with popular US network E!.

"I don't think broadcasting in Britain is much different - other than having to talk a little bit slower it's very similar to Ireland," he said.

"It's all about being yourself and you can't change who you are because that's what people want to see.

"I've done some work in America and there's definitely more of a difference there.

"You have to slow it down a bit. I suppose their audiences are used to being quite spoon-fed."

Darren is busier than ever between his broadcasting, designing and writing for his style website, but the Santry native admitted he would love to present his own weekend show one day.

"There are loads of things that I want to do, but I suppose Rome wasn't built in a day," he said.

"I'd love to work more in the States and maybe do more Saturday night entertainment."

"It's all very shiny and attractive - but we'll see what happens."
