She shot to fame playing kingpin Nidge's wife Trish and Aoibhinn McGinnity has said that while she would love to film another series of Love/Hate, she is unsure about the drama's future.
The Monaghan actress (28) admitted the explosive last season of the gritty drama will be a hard act to follow and she would only sign up to another series if the scripts were up to scratch.
"They would have to be really, really good, and I have no doubt that they will be because Stuart Carolan is an amazing writer, but the show went out on such a high that it would be hard to follow it up," she told the Herald last night.
The brunette has just returned home to Ireland after a stint Stateside, where she has been filming HBO drama, Quarry.
However, Aoibhinn was keeping tight-lipped on her role in the show.
"I can't really say anything - we've all signed confidentiality agreements," she said.
The actress made her return to the Dublin social circuit last night for the opening night of The Bodyguard, at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, which stars X Factor winner Alexandra Burke (inset).
Famous faces, including broadcasting veteran Gay Byrne, presenter Jennifer Maguire, weather girl Nuala Carey and Aoibhinn's Love/Hate co-star Peter Coonan, also walked the red carpet for last night's show.
