Ex-EastEnders star Sam Attwater and presenters Chloe Madeley and Laura Hamilton will battle it out in the final of Dancing On Ice after Johnson Beharry skated out of the contest.
The British soldier, who was awarded won the Victoria Cross, and his partner Jodeyne Higgins were booted off the show last night when the judges voted to save Madeley in a skate-off.
Judge Jason Gardiner told Beharry: "It's about a final that we can be proud of but you've come an incredibly long way." The sharp-tongued judge had earlier commented that Beharry's first dance lacked "pizzazz".
Beharry admitted he had "a few moments" in the skate-off and said it did not feel as good as his first performance, but was gracious in defeat.
"This experience has been positive in my life, every day I have learned a new thing," the soldier said, adding that he had "the time of my life" on the show. But his efforts earlier in the show brought criticism. "If anyone was sleep deprived before that routine, they certainly aren't now," Gardiner quipped.
Yesterday's show saw all four celebrities first skate with their partners before braving the ice alone in solo performances.
The remaining three contestants will compete in next week's grand final, which Schofield said would push finalists to the limit.
