98FM breakfast duo Dermot and Dave are making the switch to the afternoon -- but the popular hosts will be relying on caffeine for the next two weeks as they host both shows on the same day.
Radio stars Dermot Whelan (37) and Dave Moore (35) have hosted the morning show for the last eight years -- but they will be working double-time over the coming weeks.
The radio presenters are switching to a new slot in a station shake-up -- but for the next two weeks they will attempt to do both.
Although they already wake up at the crack of dawn for their 7-9am breakfast show, the pair will be adding another three-hour segment on to their daily routine, promising "double the fun".
Speaking about the move, Dave said: "On the Morning Crew, we were just two eejits, talking nonsense in the morning. Things will be very different now. We'll be two eejits, talking nonsense in the afternoon."
"We achieved what we set out to do, we're the number one in Dublin. So we thought it best to walk away when we're at the top of our game," he told the Herald.
"We both love to be on radio, and we're quite happy it was the right thing to do.
"We were very lucky when the offer came in for a later slot, and we thought 'let's do it now rather than waiting three years'."
And Moore spoke about how he is looking forward to a lie-in next month.
"For eight years, I've been setting my alarm for 4.25am. Sacrifices have to be made on breakfast, but I didn't mind, because it's an honour to be on the show," he said.
To celebrate double Dermot & Dave, 98FM is giving 98 lucky listeners the chance to join them on a private jet to see U2 live in Paris on the September 18.
