BBC2, 9pm It's a year since 33 miners found themselves trapped half a mile underground in northern Chile. This programme chronicles the isolation and dread of their first 17 days before making contact with their rescuers. Their battle has left them with memories which will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Channel 4, 7.35pm As Vicki nears her 40th birthday her daily medication is a constant reminder that her disease is eating away at her body. Added to her torment is the fact that the pills wreak havoc with her emotions, turning her into a party animal with an addiction to sex, shopping and the internet.
