Brave Evelyn set to return to All-Ireland Talent Show after battling breast cancer

BRAVE Evelyn O'Rourke is set to return to the All-Ireland Talent Show.

It's been announced that the expectant mum (38), who is battling cancer, will be acting in an advisory role for the RTE programme, which is fronted by Grainne Seoige.

The announcement comes less than a week after Evelyn, who is married to 2fm boss John Mahon and is mum to Oisin, revealed that she had undergone surgery for breast cancer.

Evelyn exclusively told the Herald earlier this week that she learned she had cancer just days after discovering she was pregnant with her second child.

She underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumour in St Vincent's Hospital.

She told the Herald she feels she has "turned a corner" and has thanked the staff at St Vincent's Hospital.

Evelyn is due to return to the smash-hit RTE programme alongside former Dublin judge Shane Lynch, who had to quit the full-time position on the show due to his Boyzone touring commitments.

The pair will act as advisers to newly appointed Dublin judge Amanda Brunker.

"The gloves are off. Be warned Shane -- this year Amanda is going to be listening to me," Evelyn said.
