Strictly Come Dancing
BBC1, 6.25pm It's the first of the much-awaited themed weekends and tonight some timeless Broadway magic will be broadcast live with terrific costumes and (hopefully) some great dancing taking us back to a golden age.
However, will judges Alesha (left), Len, Craig and Bruno be transfixed by the contestants' efforts?
It's all hands on deck for the Prince's birthday celebrations but odious Odin is on the horizon, determined to ensure that this is one Camelot party which will not go according to plan. A deadly assassin is on the prowl. Will Merlin be forced to reveal his secret?
BACK IN TIME
Terror Weapon Of The Somme: A Time Team Special
Channel 4, 7.45pm This is a programme not to be missed by First World War buffs. Tony Robinson joins a dig near Mametz on the site of the Somme battlefield, where British trenches from 1916 are uncovered. The experts investigate the deployment of a weapon known as the Livens Flame Projector as the army launched its assault in northern France.
TALKING THE TALK
The Jonathan Ross Show
UTV, 9.55pm Comedian David Walliams provides the laughs as the motormouth continues a steady -- if not exactly enthralling -- current series.
There are laughs also from Hollywood funnyman Seth Rogen. Music is by crooner Michael Buble and the excellent Coldplay.
