Aidan and Claire serve up a tasty new breakfast at 98FM

RTE star Aidan Power and former Spin 1038 broadcaster Claire Solan started work today as the new hosts of 98FM station's breakfast show, The Morning Crew.

Although this marks their first time presenting together on air, the pair first met on Power's former show The Cafe, where Claire regularly appeared.

The duo will be waking up the capital from 6am to 10am five days a week.

Aidan (31), who has made no secret of his desire to return to radio for the past year, said: "I'm thrilled to be starting on The Morning Crew. It's going to be a big challenge but one I'm looking forward to. I can't wait to get stuck in."

Although bosses have the utmost faith in their new line-up, the pair have big shoes to fill -- with the time slot reigning as Dublin's number one breakfast show.

CEO of 98FM Chris Doyle said: "We feel that they both bring a really fresh approach, and the show is going to be a lot of fun."

The on-air pair are replacing long time hosts Dermot Whelan and Dave Moore, who have made the move to a new afternoon slot.

The Herald first revealed earlier this month that Aidan would be making the move to 98FM, while balancing it with his television career on RTE, including the forthcoming series of Celebrity Bainisteoir.
